maxidas not booting , application gwes.exe error

     hello technicians,
    please i am using maxidas ds708 which the year update is expired but
    i have been using it until recently it could not boot .
    it writes,
    Application gwes.exe has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down.

    please how do i solve this problem

    gwes.exe is not part of the SD content.
    So it must be part oft the CE installation inside the DS708.

    Try to boot without a SD and you should see the "no or invalid card...." message.
    Try with a new SD card with only the base software on (no cars) which you can create even without the update period.
    It should boot but you have no cars, but its fine for a boot test.

    If the message still appears there is an error on the internal flash memory, filesystem of of the gwes.exe file.
    All is not good and may indicate a bigger issue with your DS708.

     I just had this issue happen to my Unit. I cant get into the ABOUT area to get serial number and password as required by AUTEL .

    I am stuck and dont want to throw this thing in the garbage. Is there any online support? OR some where i can send this thing for service?

    If its internal issue , will it be covered for free? I know the unit is old but its not due to abuse that this happened to.

     Hi Can you see S/N on the label? If yes, please send the picture as well as photo of error message to my email support01@autel.com. I will try best to help you. Btw, do you have software backup?
